Newbie’s Journal: Slow Day

This is a diary of a newbie WYD player. In this new feature, he shares his adventures, joys and pains in the world of Khersuph.

It’s been a slow day today. I didn’t find myself enthusiastic enough to do any strenuous dungeon questing, but I did remember that I had a lot of skill points left from the level grinding I did before. Because of this, I went over to the Knight Leader in Armia today to learn some new skills.

Previously, I had some Trans skills which were not yet learned so I took the opportunity to learn them all now. I’m particularly excited about the final skill, which gives added boosts to my character’s stats (forgot which, sorry but I do remember critical being one of them).

I might go back to the Underworld tomorrow to try and find the quest area I’ve been desperately looking for. I’m pretty sure my new skills would be of help to my adventure. For now, I’m signing out.

Some players just have that competitive mean streak that makes them supreme competitors against other similarly driven players. While not all MMOs focus heavily on the PVP side of things, almost all have some form of player to player combat nowadays. This is also true for WYD Global, which has all sorts of events dedicated to old fashioned fights (albeit with flashy skills and mythical creatures).

In Armia, players are quite familiar with the PK (player kill) zones where a lot of these gladiator events are held. It’s really not for those with a weak heart as players here are ruthless and highly skilled. As you can see in the video above, these players not only have the equipment to back up their skills but positioning is also key in such a cramped space here. You can’t just go charge in and expect to come out a winner every time.

Of course your character’s level will help you (a great deal actually) but ultimately, it’s the mastery of your character which will put you over the top against the competition. Oh and don’t forget to inhale some oxygen while you’re at it.

Newbie’s Journal: Revenge of the Underworld

After the failed first try of finding the next 350 Quest area, I go back inside the Underworld again to take another route in hopes of finally finding the elusive place. As usual, I ride a Griffin from Armia to save me the hassle of walking to it (which btw is very very far). Continue reading
