With Your Destiny First Impression

Hey! Welcome to my blog! This is my first post and this will be about my first impression about With Your Destiny (WYD).

Yes, I am a new player of this old game. For some reason, I got bored of the newer games since a majority of them are almost similar to each other. Of course, there are some distinct differences, but definitely not worth creating a new character for another game and leveling it up again. Thus, I tried searching for some old games, and found WYD.

Anyway, the game and the requirements are pretty low (since it’s old anyway), so my computer can easily handle it. So when I opened the game, I quickly reviewed the different classes.

Essentially, the Hunter (left most) is the basic ranged fighter with high attack speed and critical hit rate. The Beastmaster (second) is like a summoner class which can shapeshift into a ferocious beast or summon animals as allies. Third is Foema, which is the basic spellcaster class. I believe she can be a white magician for support and healing, or a black magician with damaging AOE spells. Last is the Transknight, which is the basic melee class with good defense and damage.

I love summoning type classes, but I’ve decided to make a Hunter first since I also like ranged classes. When I entered the initial screen after the character creation, I immediately experimented on the hotkeys and other features. One thing that I noticed is that leveling up is very fast. I think I leveled up after killing one or two boars. lol. Anyway, the level cap is 400 so I think it’s just proportional to the usual MMORPG.

I was quite lost at first because I’m more of a quest player rather than grinding. When I checked the quest menu, I was a bit confused on how to acquire them and complete them.

I quickly realized that it is unlike the MMORPGs nowadays where there are NPCs with some sort of question mark or exclamation point in them to receive and complete quests. This system is a bit confusing for me, but I guess this was how old games work.

The other feature that I quickly discovered was the C.C. It’s like a bot which I can set so that my character can grind while I’m away or doing something else. I’ve only played a couple of MMORPGs so this is the first time that I encountered this kind of feature.

Finally, I just went on with the auto-battle command and do some quests as well to level up my character. I’m also happy about the fact that even though I’m playing an old game, it still has a decent number of players. I haven’t talked to anyone yet but I hope to get to know some of them soon. At least, I didn’t download a game that is a complete ghost town. I guess I’m going to stick with this game for a while, since I can actually just let my character grind while I’m playing something else.

After playing for more than a week, here’s my character. She’s now level 174 with pretty good gears. 🙂

So that’s it for now! I’ll be writing more articles from time to time. Good day WYDians! 🙂
